Vaivén

Scents have a subliminal, yet strong effect on the emotional region of the brain. Focusing on their therapeutic potential, the project embeds carefully curated fragrance blends into soft fabrics. The particular idea is to alleviate emotional changes associated with premenstrual syndrome (PMS), by targeting 4 symptoms: irritability, anxiety, tiredness and concentration disorder. The fragrance blends are incorporated into the knitted surfaces of natural fibres using microencapsulation technology to ensure their controlled and gradual release. This feature enables users to discreetly alleviate specific emotions by manipulating the textile surface, which emits the desired fragrance upon contact. Vaiven strives to create a supportive environment that empowers women during challenging times.
